I think a KeyListener would do the job...

I think a KeyListener would do the job (http://docs.oracle.com/javase/1.4.2/docs/api/java/awt/event/KeyListener.html), instead of the actionlistener.

iframe's ain't the best thing to use either, something I would avoid...

You just want to swap from a text logo to a image logo, am I right?
In CSS you could simply use the tag "background-image:url("images/logo.png");"
where "images/logo.png" is your image path.
