Type: Contract work (2 months) and possible full time position after completion

Primary Responsibility: The primary function of this position is to take PSD design and front end code our website in the environment described below.

Stipend: Primarily equity stake

Activities and functional expectations -
Meet regularly with the team to review wireframes and mockups and update progress
Regular interaction with development lead
Participate in design change discussions and be able to implement those designs in mockups through code
Fully responsible for developing the standards-compliant cross-browser compatible XHTML/CSS code, using jQuery and other interactive elements. Hand-off completed front-end to the development team who will attach back-end functionality.
Develop themes for CMS must be readable by all major browsers, including mobile devices.
All code created must be standard compliant, well commented and documented.
Description:
All designers must have training in computer graphics packages such as Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator as well as knowledge of Flash, XML-based web applications and programming, XHTML programming, and other web development languages and technologies. An understand of database schema and design as well as matching algorithms also a plus. The designer should also be comfortable working with a variety of operating systems such as Windows, Macintosh, and Unix. A plus if experience in mobile optimization.

The candidate should be self motivated and able to work in an environment with much freedom and produce results with basic direction and no micromanagement.

Preferred location would be Denver, but possibly can work remotely. We would like this person to come into our offices in Cherry Creek at least once a week to work with the team.
