    FindMyEmployer partnership

I'm looking for a partner to help me out with creating a job site.

I am unable to pay up front however, I can pay later on if the script functions well enough and people post jobs on the site.

I realize that this is not a small project and rather unlikely to get done without some form of payment right away.. But please let me know if you are interested and can help anyway.

I assure you that I would pay later on if I earn something from it, obviously we can work that out before starting.

The domains I have to use for this are:

    • findmyemployer.com
    • findmyemployer.info
    • eopps.info
    • therightdirections.com
    • therightdirections.net
    • therightdirections.org
    • jobdir.info
    • jobsd.info
    • jbsd.info
    • jobsb.info
    • gotit.info
    • eleader.info
    • trdw.org
    • trdweb.org
    • therightdirectionsweb.org

I am looking to do either a paid link directory with employment fields and information as one of the main categories, or just the job board alone. I registered "The Right Directions Web" and similar names to use for a link directory but I'd also use them for an employment site on it's own.

I'm currently using shared hosting but if this works out I plan to invest on this site very heavily as well as do quite abit of marketing, and I'd like to get VP hosting as soon as possible.

I'd like, US, Canada, and UK job listings on the site.

I thought that I'd be able to do this myself a little easier, but I am not happy with standard free scripts, there was only one i liked and i had too many problems with it. This is something i have tried with several different free scripts, but none of them seem like a big enough draw.

I have even tried to do this with phpbb.

I could do basicly any little thing to make a few bucks online, but this is something that I really want a little more than just some little thing. I am looking for professional help and somebody who takes it just as seriously as I do, even though I do not have any coding skills.

I can't pay now but obviously if it is successful you will be paid and chosen for future updates. I am also aware that some of you have portfolios that a site like this may help.

The last thing I want to say is that I can also host a copy of your portfolio on my site and update it when needed, so that could help with SEO and other things. I could host it and then link to it on my homepage, if the site turns out successful there is potential that as a coder/designer some businesses may see your work and contact you for other commerical jobs.

    Have fun. Merry Christmas..

Well obviously it is not THAT serious of a project, but I haven't been satisfied with the free scripts that are around for job postings, obviously if I want to charge for the listings I need something professional, but I am not sure what direction to go with the whole thing. I think i'll just start something small like a link directory or something to drive in more traffic.

I have also had bad experience looking for help with my sites, I respect any help i can get but if you're just kind of beginning etc you probably aren't much better than I am. I can code a reasonable website in css with some cool affects and stuff but I don't know css really in depth; It's my opinion that you gotta actually learn it and do it smoothly and efficiently a couple of times before you start your portfolios and so forth.. Not that I want to crush anyone that way but I have seen some freelance designers who are at the same level as I am, I am not sure if there is a book of appropriate standards for offering service etc. lol. i certainly don't want to be a n00bs project, I am a n00b looking for help with my own. I highly encourage learning and farther development as opposed to quitting either way.

I don't need somebody who's quite as serious about it, but at least somebody mature and who has the same desire and frame of mind to help make the site profitable, and somebody to make suggestions and use their own creatives too. The domain names are pretty reasonable, and also I could go up to splitting the profits even, maybe more profit on your end.

So, the door is open here. I am not expecting anyone to take me up or even a response at this time of year, but feel free to contact me even if you're reading this and it's an old topic.

    Hi,

I am interested in partnership but what are your skill? What can you contribute to the project overall?

    Regards,
    James

Well basicly I can do anything but write the initial scripting. I can design if that is left to me, and i can do other things; text/writing, marketing, grind work to help the developer etc..

I am hoping to maintain a large database where I can have at least two or three different countries, and I can add in all the fields and so forth myself. I'd like to put some time into that and properly add in all the US states and cities and Canadian provinces etc, and I was also thinking about adding the United Kingdom.. so that's nothing huge of course but to do it properly will take abit of time, some US states have tons of cities and sorting potential, and the UK and Canada as well.

I mean this as an example of grind work, when you have to do long boring easy jobs like that you can just send the code snippet to me and write a short couple of sentances to explain how the categories are formatted in the script, and how to add subs etc, that should only take you a moment to explain. I can code but i can't write code, I can use and edit code, install and configure it etc. i am good with installing mods on phpbb forums and stuff like that.

This other job site is a good example of what i'd like to have myself, I mean with regards to the homepage and how straight forward it looks: http://canada.indeed.com/

I am a dedicated worker and I have alot of free time on my hands to work on this, so I can do anything but write the code, php, asp or whatever. In other words I contribute what I need to besides that, and all of this will reflect on my partner's level of skill and expertise..

    I hope this explains.

So you're not really interested Mr. Moey?

I don't know what I am expected to contribute to my own project when I am the one asking for help with it. lol. The real question is what can you contribute? I can do pretty much anything and everything besides write the scripting.

Is it wrong that I need somebody to create the script for me? should i feel as though I haven't contributed enough to the project if I do get help with this? I don't think that. You can buy scripts and get scripts for free, that doesn't mean the person who wrote the script has actually done more for the site than you have, after all I am the one who is going to manage it.
