Can't rebuild
 

I guess my question is about Visual Studio.Net, not ASP...

When I try to rebuild a project/solution after working on it for a while, the main compilation runs forever and freezes my screen.

------ Rebuild All started: Project: XYZ, Configuration: Debug .NET ------
Preparing resources...
Updating references...
Performing main compilation... (this is the last message I see)

I have found a temporary solution - I just need to restart the project and I can rebuild it fine without making any changes.
It looks like I might need to re-install VS but can anybody point me on an easier fix?

I faced a similar problem, and i solved by deleting my current project and created new one, but sure i kept all the pages.

Thanks I will try but I have the same problem with all my projects including 1 day old application...
