learned CSS & HTML now looking for PHP !
Hello dear friends,
I need some serious sugesstions, I have started learning html and CSS for last two months and now I have learned a lot about basic html and some advance level html as well from code academy, then I started CSS and now I am just at the end of the basics of CSS where I will learn about Positioning of different elements in CSS. So my next plan is to learn php.
I have previous experience of coding in C++ in borland complier and I know some basics of programming, the motivation for learning PHP is at peak so I just need a platform . Is online help enough or I need to join some classes here in Lahore, Pakistan, institutes are providing services with affordable prices, so it won't be difficult for me.
Need serious replys.
Previous programming experience is a plus. You could probably learn it using free online tutorials, but if those classes are affordable, you might speed through it faster.
For sure either install a server on your PC (WAMP w/ PHP and MySQLi) or subscribe to a shared webhost. You'll need a place to do the scripting and run them.
The shared webhost would be beneficial if you need help and someone like us needs to see the script run, and help you troubleshoot. Your own server would allow you to do everything offline. Maybe do both.
It might not be favorable to you but why not consider JS? It could probably be considered THE language of the internet. Especially if you're looking into front-end development...I'd guess that's why HTML/CSS interests you?
Otherwise, I'd poke around online before spending money on classes. Get a grip on the basics, see if it you're still interested and then consider a paid class.
If you enjoy programming (C++ for example), you'll love PHP, and even Perl if you're so inclined.
