IE8 and the :checked selector
 

Since the css ":checked" selector doesn't worked in IE8 I was hoping to find a jquery (or even javascript) solution. The logic I'm trying to program is if the radio button is checked, then underline the text within the same form's <span> tag. Any ideas?
