For the past 5 years we have been posting educational flash videos to our blog The Imaginers chronicles<< http://www.theimagineershome.com/blog/ >>using the flowing code
<object classid="clsid27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" width="320" height="240"> <param name="MOVIE" value="http://www.theimagineershome.com/blog/flv/imagination/imagination.swf"> <param name="QUALITY" value="HIGH"> <param name="BGCOLOR" value="#000000"> <embed src="http://www.theimagineershome.com/blog/flv/imagination/imagination.swf" quality="high" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" bgcolor="#000000" width="320" height="240"> </embed></object>
However flash videos are no longer supported in html5 and many of the new mobile browsers.
Therefore we would like to reformat our site so that it can reach the maximum number of students as possible.
We have software that can convert the "flv" files presently on our servers to other formats however we have been having difficultly finding/writing the code required to embed them.
We would appreciate if someone could please help us determine which file format would be the best suited for our purpose and then help us write/find the embedding code needed to post it on our web site
Thank you in advance
Have a read at this article to find out which file types are needed for cross platform playback and to see the code required to embed HTML5 video that degrades gracefully.
