Creating a game from scratch (JOGL)
 

Hello lads.

My name is Anttoni and I'm looking for a tiny group of developers to make a game and get it up and running.

Games Idea : The game will be a online 3D rpg game. With skilling and questing system. The game will be based on the years, somewhere between 500-1000. The game will be based on a big country, name TBA. It will have 4-5 big towns and few small villages. I'm really bad with coming up with names so, every name suggestion will be very useful.

Skilling system is simple, you do something and get exp. Just like in Runescape, you cut a tree and you get exp. Simple as that. For more detailed information. Add my Skype: seonantto

Quest system is also pretty simple. It will not be, like in almost every single MMORPG (pressing Q and popping up the quest menu) in this game I will use simple UI for it.

Combat system will be a rip-off. Straightly from Runescape. I just love it in runescape.

Users view will be 3RD Person.

Currently working on: Server and Client connection, and rendering, updating and a lot of graphical things.

Will you be using a game engine or coding that from scratch too? What is your background-- are you a programmer? How many years and in what languages?

I will coding the whole thing from scratch. I will use Libraries such as openGL and
and Apache's mina library. I have been coding for 1.5 Years. I'm a programmer. I have mostly coded only in Java, a little bit in C++.
