Firefox help please
On the addressbar there is a dropdown list of URLs.
In IE you can delete each URL by going to the right and clicking on the X Could anyone please tell me how to do this in Firefox as the list is getting far too long? I don't wish to delete all of them - just the ones I don't need anymore All help much appreciated |

Some body gave me the following solution.
If anyone has the same problem: Give this a try....highlight the URL in the address bar, then press Ctrl and Delete. |
mozilla firefox answer
The OLD advice for this problem, listed below, is NOT working. The web addresses just DON'T come off:
*** Click the arrow that's located on the far right side of the Firefox address bar. A list of URLs will drop down. *** Place your cursor over the URL you wish to manually delete. ***Hold down the "Shift" key on your keyboard. Then, press the "Delete" key. The highlighted URL will be deleted. Or I've been advised to hold down the "Control" key. Neither works. Updated instructions on How to delete unwanted web addresses from the drop-down list. Anybody??? |
I've just tried what you have been told. It worked fine for me. I put my mouse over the url I wanted to delete, held the shift key and then hit the delete key. It worked.
