Acrobat Dynamic PDF with SWF not very responsive
I have a swf with as3 giving it a mini website feel with navigation and pages.
The different pages are on their own frame in the timeline and the AS class file has mouse click listeners to jump around the timeline. Everything works great when I test the swf. The problem arises when I use InDesign to embed the swf and create a dynamic PDF. Everything looks fine in terms of animations but the clicks aren't very responsive. Sometimes a button needs a double click to register the click.
I have no idea what the problem is. I'm not sure if the action script needs to be set up a certain way to make it work smoothly once in the pdf. What makes it tough for me to understand is the fact it works flawlessly when I open the swf itself. I was using acrobat 9 to view the pdf. With further testing it seemed that acrobat 10 had the pdf working perfectly. This isn't very helpful to me since I need it to work with the older versions of course.
I don't know if anyone has run into this issue before since it's a pretty obscure topic that is more a relationship between two technologies. I just wanted to reach out and see if anyone could present some helpful advice.
