Get Lunched is a location based web and mobile application that lets people connect online and then buy each other lunch in exchange for their knowledge, contacts or just their company. Users can also search for and book restaurant deals.Get Lunched combines social networking functionality (eg. Linked In) with vouchering functionality (eg. Groupon) with GPS functionality (Eg. Foursquare)
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who is based in London and has experience in developing web applications in Symfony and is able to manage front end design and CMS.
The beta site has been built and is currently being tested. We now need someone to come on board full time to help us grow fast. We are looking for someone who can respond immediately to technical demands, and build and improve on the existing framework.
We’re looking for someone who understands our goals, is passionate about innovation, willing and keen to be part of a new groundbreaking start up project and help make GL a success.
The mobile app is key to the project, so the individual will ideally have experience in developing smartphone applications. At least a good understanding and interest in this area is required.
Initially the developer will be working alongside Get Lunched team and the development team that put together the beta site, as a handover period. For a while, the project will be overseen by the current technical director but we are looking for someone who will very quickly be required to stand on their own and handle any demands, once the site is live.
You will need experience of:
Php5/6 - Object Orientated
JQuery Framework (Including JQ UI)
XHTML & CSS
HTML5 & CSS3
Version Management with GIT
Google Maps API
Comfortable on the Linux Command Line using;
