how to title a website
so, i'm seen property websites like this, www.1234merryweather.com (FAKE SITE NAME). Obviously the address of that property is 1234 merryweather. I'm trying to determine if it's more appropriate to do this:
www.1234merryweather.com or www.1234-merryweather.com I think that with the dash, you have better search-ability, but would like some insight. |
How big of an audience are you trying to reach? I think you'd be better off with a less specific name of a website, something like Myproperty.com, Myuniquehouse.com or something, idk. Think popular keywords related to the site if you're looking for users to find you through google.
I don't know who in their life will search merryweather on google except someone misspelling a popular boxer's name? Or if you search 1234, you know how many Math/preschool websites you'll come up with? lol or two failed searches in one, merryweather's 1234 knockout! I hope you understand what I'm getting at. |
