    This forum thread is geared more to here it is hope your happy with it; not that I don't mind emailing it to you; its that I don't have the compress file on my hard drive any longer; I compress on the upload; hope you understand.

    See Post #90: There are two attached files to download; click on the one you want to use; I would recommend both; install the compressed one to the web server and use the other for referance.

    I renamed it to Cube; its shorter and easier for me: This works the way it always has; I'm just reposting this here for referance: here is an example:

    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">

    <script src="Cube.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

    </head>

    <div style='position: relative; overflow: hidden;' id='amazonbooks2'></div>

    Carousel slideshow

    Hello Harry !

    Congratulations and my eternal gratitude for this coding, which saved me when I was down with my site.

    However, being a newbie, I've been trying in vain to make the carousel/pics show in %, not in px so that, whatever the resolution of the screen, it should always appear in a proportional size. I carefully tried to replace 'px' by '%' everywhere (except for the border width) but it doesn't work (sometimes, the carousel doesn't even appear anymore).
    How would you do this, Great Master???

    Smile Adding Transparency/Opacity/Filter Effect

    I am loving the script as it is so far but I have one addition that I cannot seem to get into place.

    I am wanting to have the images display with an opacity effect and become full 100% opacity on a mouseover.

    Another possibility would be to use an image swap on mouseover.

    Where do I need to add these to the code and what is the correct object id. Would it be "images[i]" I cannot seem to get them to work.

    Thank you for your help

    I would like to apply the script to a Expression Web document. I'm wondering about the requirement to load the first part of the code to the "head" and the second part to the "body" of the html document. If I create those 2 layers and name them "head" and body" is it import and to have those layers in a certain order in the z-index of the form? Can you direct me to an example of this code in Expression Web format?

    Thanks, it's very nice. I'd like to use it.

    Ok so I'm trying to do this carousel slideshow with 3 pictures and I just can't seem to get it to work in my webpage. I'm new to this, and I did not edit below where it said not to but no matter what I've tried I cannot get it to work for me.

    I would like to add just a little somthing to this script....

    What I'm trying to do is integrate your script with lightbox2 in wordpress

    my website is here: www.nathangoodfellow.us

    and as you see I'm using the carousel script to display scrolling images on my page. What I would like to do is add the following element to the link attribute in the script of:

    rel="lightbox"

    with the lightbox plugin I have installed in wordpress this will make the image pop open in a lightbox. I'm rather new at flash coding and I'm not sure what I need to change or do to add this element to the carousel code. Any advice given would be greatly appreciated! You did a great job on this script!

    I have also posted this request to DynamicForums just in case.

    The Slideshow runs fine. I have created a .pgn image with the centre part transparent and using <DIV> have layered this on top of the Carousel Slideshow.

    If part of the Slideshow shows above the .pgn image, I can stop it and go to the linked page.

    The part I see through the "Window" in the .pgn image, does not stop or link, but images are visable.

    A solution would be very much appreciated.

    Regards

    Drachsi

    Not certain if I explained what I mean. There are 2 examples where the script can be seen, through the window, no reaction, above the image it works.

    How do I get it to work through the window?

    Thanks in advance

    Your problem is the transparent space in the center of your top layer is blocking your second layer so the carousel can't see the cursor and doesn't know when it is hovering.

    My suggestion is you cut the second layer image into four seperate images and then use a <div><table> to fit them together nicely, and then postition that image over layer the carousel.

    the <div><table> should be formatted like this.
    <div>
    <table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0" width="648" height="879"><tr><td colspan="3"><img src="images/litfass2-latest7-top.png"></td></tr><tr><td><img src="images/litfass2-latest7-left.png"></td><td width="294">&nbsp;</td><td><img src="images/litfass2-latest7-right.png"></td></tr><tr><td colspan="3"><img src="images/litfass2-latest7-bottom.png"></td></tr></table>
    </div>

    make sure there are absolutely no spaces between any of the table component tags or the whole picture will not fit together perfect.
