    PHP dynamic rollover

    Hello,

I'm really stuck! I need to have a webpage that shows a list of information pulled from my database. I can manage this o.k, but what i need to do is the following.

I have a dbase table with 2 fields. The contents of the first field will be shown on screen. Only certain entries in the dbase will have the 2nd field populated.

What I would like the user to be able to do is to be able to tell which of the results on screen has info populating it's 2nd dbase field by the use of a different colour or something similar and finally when the user rolls over that object a popup appears showing the content of the 2nd field in the dbase.

I've searched high and low on the net and am pulling my hair out. I'm relatively new to PHP, so still learning.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks all.

For the popup part, you're going to have to use a client-side script language, such as javascript.
PHP Tip: If you want to use short tags (<? or <?=$var) then make sure short_open_tag is set to "1". It really helps.

    DON'T USE THE MYSQL_ EXTENSION
