Best way for PHP and ASP

    Hi All,

If I will be having both PHP and ASP Projects, what would be the ideal setup for this?

I personally don't really like having Apache/Mysql and IIS/SQL Server on the same server running but if that's what i gotta do, then I gotta do it.

But what is a good and organized setup for this?

    Thanks
    BK

theres no good way to handle this really.
you can run apache/php on a windowz box, but then not everything will be the same as if it were running on linux/unix ( not all function will be available ),

you could also try running SunASP on linux, but again, not everything will be as the same as if you were running it on windowz/IIS,

what I've done it setup a machine to dual boot, one drive with windowz, and one with linux. I think this is the best solution if you only have one box and you need access to both PHP & ASP for development anyway.

    hope this helps,
    -Ken

you can use PHP with IIS.

But I'm not quite clear, do you want to use php/mysql at the same time as asp/mssql, or just have both installed?
running both apache and IIS for a dev box isn't a problem at all, or you can run both PHP and ASP under IIS.

I would create two sites in IIS. One for php and one with asp.

I run IIS 6, PHP, and Oracle. It works like a dream.
