    Question Please help me with my PHP website

    I am very new to PHP. I just got a pixel PHP website this month.
    I have used Dreamweaver to change my logo.

    But now ...1.) I want to add a footer at the end of my website with links
    and I also want to 2.) add and edit this information too that is below:

    <!doctype html public "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN">
    <head>
    <title></title>
    <META NAME="DESCRIPTION" CONTENT="">
    <META NAME="KEYWORDS" CONTENT="">
    <META>
    </head>
    <body>

    <H1></H1>
    <B></B>
    </body>
    </html>

    My Question is: How do I do all of this and what is the easiest way to do it?
    What programs do I need and how to i install them? Or can I just use dreamweaver? Please let me know soon. I really need the help. Thanks
    to anyone willing to help me out

    Katie

    Emm... It could be me, but you can just make a a file which contains the footer and one for the header, include it in the desired file and you're done...
    Yeah that.

    Just write it like you would a standard HTML file, but use the .php extension. Then simply go into a PHP "code island" wherever you want to:

    PHP Code:
    <?php
    // Code here.
    ?>
    OTOH, Vin0rz idea about using PHP includes works well for all repeating content (such as footers, menus, etc), so that is also something to consider.

    Exclamation What do I need to do Step by Step?

    I'm still very confused and puzzled. I don't know where to begin.

    Can you tell me step by step how to edit my php pixel website.

    I just want to add a Meta keyword code and footer so it

    ends up in my right index.php folder in dreamweaver.

    Which index.php folder do I need to add it to? There

    are two of them. If you need to look at my source code

    Email me at: twentyfivecent_pixels@yahoo.com

    Please help!

    You're better off learning some HTML then adding the .php extension to it.

    Which would be pointless of naming it as a php extension?

    Sounds like you're trying to run before you can crawl. Do some newbie tutorials which are in google and they'll help you get your head around what php will do. Follow and read the tutorials all the way through and what you're wanting to do will be very simple.
