Decent size amount of help needed.

I would really like to create a script that allows someone to signup and the following will happen:

    *For a forum script*

I have a master folder with all the files in it.

When a user signs up through a form, it will create a folder for them, and inside that folder, lets say have a config file, and a styles folder.

All of the files will referance the master folder, but use there configuration file for database connection, and there style folder.

How can i possibly do this?

Also, i want to have the most compact as possible way to make the tables for all of the forums. Should i just make the table prefix there unique board name or something like that?

    Any ideas?

You can use the mkdir function (http://us2.php.net/manual/en/function.mkdir.php) to create the folder that you need and then fopen (http://us2.php.net/manual/en/function.fopen.php) to can be used to create any files that you need.

yes, well that doesn't answer my question about calling a master set of files, and using some local files, and how to run the database.

Quit bumping. The things you are asking to be done can't really be explained in a single thread. You need to either hire out and actually work with someone or learn how to do the things you want yourself.

why would this be so difficult? It seems like one thing that im missing, or something that you could do with an htaccess file that would make everything work.

You can create a unique folder for your users if you name them using md5(their name + some string that is always the same)
