    error and i aint sure if i am in the rite direction on this either

    make
    $txt = str_replace("[ url= ")," ]") ,"", $txt);
    into
    $txt = str_replace("[ url= "," ]" ,"", $txt);

    you had an end ) all throughout, get rid of them and it should work.

    i think you are trying to remove all instances of [ url= "," ] inside $txt. If so, then use

    $txt = str_replace('[ url= "," ]' ,'', $txt);

    else post an example of an inputstring ad the desired output of the replace.
