    referring websites...

    I have my website/forum running and what I want to know is where people come from (especially from an external site such as google or another forum that i'm a member of)...how do i go about that...

    Best way, look at your server logs. It's gonna be the only accurate way to get this info

    My dad wrote a small script that used $_SERVER['HTTP_REFERRER'] and a flatfile system to record those who came to his site, but since $_SERVER['HTTP_REFERRER'] is unreliable the script was shoddy at best. I'll dig it up if you REALLY want it.
