    referrer

i have my website that hosts pages for 3 people plus a forum. what i want is to have a link on each page to the mail page but i want the person sending the email to not worry about entering an email address to send the email....

basically each user has a folder from the domain and each user has their own email address. from within each users folder the link to the mail page should carry their email address and store it in a hidden field on the mail page so that the person browsing doesnt actually see the email address yet it is already 'filled' in for them and all they have to do is enter the subject and details...

also what do i have to do to use an external smtp server as my host has disabled smtp on my server...i will be upgrading as soon as i have completed the layout and final touches on the website...

Sorry - re-read your post and my solution wasn't ok for you.
I do Web Design, Brisbane based.
More time spent in PHP/MySQL Web Development.
And Search Engine Optimisation takes up the rest of it.

I think i understand what you mean, but sorry if im wrong.

You could just carry the email address accross in the url as a variable.

For example one one page you could link to http://itsonlybarney.tollfreepage.co...dex.php?user=1 and on another link to http://itsonlybarney.tollfreepage.co...dex.php?user=2.

Then define what the variable "user" means in the mail page.
