    File Retrieval

I have amassed many files in various formats over the years, that I would now like to share with my peers, allowing them to upload their files as well to the collection.

The archive needs an organizational system of category, sub categories, file type, etc.

The ammount of files are in the thousands and I expect that with time it will grow to tens of thousands.

As for size, they are anywhere from .txt files of a few bytes to .mp3 or .avi files of many mb's.

Does anyone know of a code/script for this type of project?

    Thank you

This sort of project would probably be more inclined toward a language such as C#, C++, VB, or Delphi, though PHP would be able to accomplish this task (especially with PHP-GTK).

If you're looking for some sort of directory lister, I can help you with KdirLister.
You can't upload with that script, but you can easily build that into the script.

The file KdirLister.(zip|rar) contains the downloadable.

If you can wait for...a month or so, that script should have what you want. It's undergoing a total rewrite and turning into a file management script.
