could someone please explain this sentence?

Im installing a calender script for a listings site i run... it just shows event titles and you click on them to read the details, nice 'n' easy.

Im trying to follow the instructions and this is the first thing...

"Unzip the files into a directory under your web server's docroot."

What is a docroot...? How do i know where it is? sorry to be thick!

i suppose it's the "virtual root" --> the directory which files you'll see if your url only contains the domain + filename.
(like index.php is in the virtual root --> www.fakesite.com/index.php , but it then usually is installed in a directory called "http_docs" or so.
