    Need help with DreamWeaver buttons

alright, so here's the deal. I need some help creating a site that requires buttons that can access a database, and change the viewer's screen. For example, adding projcet Lighthouse onto a user's list of projects, and then transfering them from the current page "add" to page "list" or something like that.
I was origionally doing this in HTML, but I can't do database stuff in it. will I be able to salvage any of my code? like my CSS, or any of the 20 odd pages I already have designed?
Is it just possible to add bits and pieces of PHP in?
I'm new to PHP... I have a book on it that kind of helps, but it is not specific enough in the areas I need it
Any help you guys can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Yes you can. PHP just outputs plain html so you can use all your content as it is.

If you have more punctual questions, then we'll be able to help you out.
