    Question CHMODing, how?

    Please bare with me, I have no knowledge of PHP, just some HTML and minimum javascript
    I am configuring the .pl for Simple Search from Matt's Script Archive at:

    http://www.scriptarchive.com/search.html

    and as the last step, one is to "chmod the script to 755". Now, how am I suppose to do that, exactly?
    Is it something to be done in the same file? Somewhere in particular?
    This is the closest I've got to what the syntax should look like, according to http://ca.php.net/chmod

    <?php
    chmod("/somedir/somefile", 0755); // octal; correct value of mode
    ?>

    How close am I to get it right and what am I missing? Actually, just tell me the 2nd part

    Thanks in advance,

    JavierDL

    I think he means that you should set the chmod for the pl file, that you can do in your ftp most likely just rigth click the file and click properties. then if you lucky there in the screen that come would be a textfield with a 3 digit number.
