Copy one row from one table to another

    All,

I have a page which displays a specific members address details. (from tblMembers)

The address details need to be read only.

Underneath the table of details I have 2 buttons - Confirm and Change.

If they click confirm, I would like to write the details of the address into another table called tblConfirmed.

If they click Change, the memberid is passed through to another form with writable fields (then inserted into a another table).

The problem that I am having is how to copy the details into tblConfirm if the member confirms the details.

Is there anyway in the initial table could each field hold a value without the data being writable or disabled? Then on the click of 'Confirm' the details can be passed into a stored proc to insert into tblConfirm.

Any ideas? (it has to be done this way btw )

    hey holty..

Do you need 2 tables? maybe theres a reason you havent said here but..

I have the same issue.. on my music site.. when music is submitted it needs to be "confirmed" by me before it is publiclly online.. all I do.. is have a field in the table "public" then when i confirm it I just set public to 1 and then when im displaying the music... WHERE public = 1 .

    Maybe something to think about?

Tho if you cant.. il help you out with what you want now.. hidden fields? so have you done it?
