    Casino PHP

    Hello everyone,
I'm about to develop a Casino like application using PHP. It's just simple. I find many casino Sites on the Net, but they use many advance feature: flash, java, or even application (download and setup to play). I don't want (and don't have enough skill) to apply these feature. Can anyone give me some advice: If I only use PHP to develop the program, is it possible? Is it secure enough for an online casino?
    Thanks for your time.

Most games if they are not to be toatally dull require animation to attract , its perfectly possible to create say card or casino type games with PHP but the interface will be quite boring (and slow due to page reloading) which is why java applets or flash etc are normally employed.

You can't really use a client-side script for much more than animation as its too open to abuse to hold any logic itself (as , I hear , is [decompiled] flash)

PHP can run the logic and security no problem , but you probably need something else for the interface , check out http://www.hotscripts.com for inspiration.
    resistance is...

MVC is the current buzz in web application architectures. It comes from event-driven desktop application design and doesn't fit into web application design very well. But luckily nobody really knows what MVC means, so we can call our presentation layer separation mechanism MVC and move on. (Rasmus Lerdorf)

maybe you could consider buying the software?
the name slips me right now - but most of the big casino's online all get their application software from the same company, a standard rate will get you GREAT customised software, 'flashier' then you can imagen .

shall i dig out the name?

Because I don't have enough budget, that's why I learn to do it myself, more, because I'm a computer science student, so I try to follow others (certainly my work isn't good as the pro one). Thanks for your advice.
PS: do you know approximately how much these package cost?
