    Welcome here !

PHP just outputs HTML, Javascript, XML or whatever you wan't to send to the client. So applying a layout to it is just the same as when you hardcode it. The only differnce is that you can use PHP to dynamically inject content into your HTML template, or to compose your HTML. You can then just apply your existing CSS to it.

You'll have to modify the HTML the script outputs. If it's a white background, I doubt it was specified specifically to be white, but if it is, you'll see background="white" somewhere in the script.
