    Working with SQL LIKE conditions

    Normally, in VB and MSAccess this code will work:

    < SELECT * FROM table WHERE field Like 'B*';>

    and the records starting with B are displayed...

    how can i obtain this using PHP... thanks for any help...

    $sql ="SELECT * FROM table WHERE field Like 'B%'";
    $result = mysql_query($sql) or die ('Queryproblem');
