    How to present data in a effective form

    MY SETUP
    ======
    php 5
    mysql 3
    apache 2.48
    windows XP
    the website is for internal use only (not public)

    WHAT I HAVE DONE
    =============
    I have now created a nice application in PHP to input and retrieve song titles and other relating text for each artist

    It was good when i had a listing up to 20 artist but now the listng has grown just over 100 artists. When staff retrieve all data records from the database the page becomes very long with data.

    WHAT I WANT TO DO
    ==============

    Google and yahoo have a system where they retrieve a certain amount of data then split the contents over many pages.
    the user can click at the bottom of the screen on a number to get to a nearer location for the required data.

    IM ASKING
    =======
    im asking can someone provide me with a simular if not the same as google or yahoo.
    If not then can someone provide me with a URL to a site that has this coding technique.

    Im willing to read and learn than simply to copy and paste

    thank you for your time
