    image beacon for email tracking

    I have a php 'beacon.php' script, which when loaded in the browser logs user info:

    PHP Code:
    $addr $_SERVER['SERVER_ADDR'];
    mysql_query("INSERT INTO tbl_email_beacon (server_addr) VALUES ('$addr')");
    header('Content-Type: image/gif');
    readfile("http://www.mydomian.com/images/yellowbox.gif");
    I have successfuly loaded this script from an image tag also in the browser:
    Code:
    <img src="http://www.mydomain.com/beacon.php" alt="" />
    However, when I try to send the image via an email, it doesnt render and doesnt run the script

    Does anyone have any ideas?

    You're going to need to show the raw email for anyone to comment on that.

    There is nothing wrong with the link you've shown above however html emails work a bit differently to html pages so you need to show us the raw code for it.
