    Physical Memory Puzzle

At 2am this morning the physical memory in our cpanel wentfrom 27 to 202 and has remained in the triple digits for over three hours. I diabled all our active websites and no change. Now we have nothing running but it's still in the triple digits. What could be causing it? Hoping it will reboot later on today!

Thats probably line 2792 of memmanage.php in the shared user directory for your 204th user.

Seriously how are we supposed to know?

This is a php forum not a linux / windows server configuration board! If you've disabled all websites then it is clearly another process running and hogging the memory - possibly a looping php script that can't be seen because it's running as a php instance and not a process in its own right.

If you've not tried rebooting why not? What makes you think we can fix this for you here? You've not even mentioned what the machine setup is.

You could give possible suggestions of would could cause it instead of smarta$$ comments.
Ask question so I know what information I need to provide you instead of posting your crap with a pin head attitude.

How can we give possible suggestions with the minimal information you've provided? The only potential php issue that could cause this is what I have mentioned - a runaway looping script that you can't see / terminate. Even if it is that it's still not really a php issue is it so why are you asking here in the php forum? - You need to ask some linux techs how to identify the process and kill it by its PID. People on a php forum are not the right people to ask - especially a php forum which is aimed at helping people to solve programming bugs (you'll never see real pro's here and thats why you need to ask elsewhere).

Dude, you're the one asking how long a piece of string is in a spaghetti factory so don't get the grumps with me! I've been factual.
