    Problem with IMAP - cannot open stream

    Okay I solved it. Apparently I was supposed to add /novalidate-cert to the imap-address... don't know why it mattered when it worked on the wamp, but there you go

    Hey people,

    I'm working with PHP's IMAP-extension and I'm having some problems.

    I've developed my system on a local WAMP-server stack, and everything has been working brilliantly - that is untill I moved the system to my live server (third party host, btw. Then all of a sudden I get the error:

    Warning: imap_open(): Couldn't open stream {webhotel13.webhosting.dk:143}INBOX in

    The imap is with the same company that hosts the live server and they apparently don't know what the problem is.

    Just to be sure I've checked that the IMAP-extension IS enabled on the server - no problem. Also, wouldn't the errormessage be different if it was disabled?

    Also just to be sure I've checked with the simplest of codes:

    PHP Code:
    $i imap_open('{xx:143}INBOX''username''password');
    It works on WAMP everytime and on the live server I get the error every time.

    I have no idea where to start.

    Can anybody help me?

    Best regards,
