How can I view a PHP file without uploading it to my server?

    Hello,

I need a little help....I just got 10 mini sites and I need to see the index page but it's a php file. I know that I can see it if I upload it my server, but I want to see what the site looks like before hand and make changes if need be...

I am new to this so if yall can give me the easiest way without using a lot of "coding" language, I would appreciate it. I'm learning, slowly and I'm not giving up...

    Thanks in advance
    Continued Success

I use XAMPP to development and testing

You can run PHP on your local machine by using a program called XAMPP, see http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html.

Basically after the install, pop the PHP and etc files under the xampp/htdocs/<your_site> folder, start Apache in the XAMPP control panel, and then in your favorite browser go to http://localhost/your_site
