    Autoresponder

Hello everyone, I'm not a programmer but I think my problem might be related to programming.

I've set up a PHP email autoresponder on a dedicated IP address on a reputable cloud host (vps.net). I'm not spamming - in fact my e-mails aren't even commercial in nature, but the ISPs obviously recognise them as auto-generated. They get delivered fine to Gmail, but Outlook.com sends them to the junk folder, and the only reason for this seems to be because they are auto-generated e-mails.

What do I need to do to fix this problem with Outlook and other e-mail providers which behave in the same way? Do I need to register my IP at a service like this: http://www.whitelisted.org/ ? Or is it purely a server side programming issue?

Many thanks for your help in advance

may just be a filter problem not a script problem. If it was the script then forums and other scripts that use automated emails for activation would get dumped as well. Their filters may be selecting specific words in your response. You could probably test this by using the term 'your activation email'. If it's a filter then it should go through. If it does then you need to check your response email for cetain things like '% off', 'Get It Now' etc. Words that would be used for spam.
Try that an see what happens.

Hello c1lonewolf, thanks very much for your reply.

I have tried your suggestion, but outlook.com still sends my e-mail to the junk folder. There's absolutely no promotional content in the e-mail I tried, it's exactly the kind of activation e-mail that forums send.

Do forums get their servers specially programmed for inbox deliverability purposes?
