    Tracking time Spent on Page/Site.

Anyone have an idea on how to track the users time spent spent on site.

I've been searching the forums haven't found anything yet, if anyone finds anything or knows anything, It'd really help if you can tell me.

    Thanks.

I'd use a combination of php and javascript.

use a javascript like the timer script here: http://www.javascript-page.com/timer.html

, set it to start() body onLoad() and then onUnLoad(), store the value of the counter into a form element...and then....

    i dunno...but i got ya started.

On php script like PHPLive and PHP Live Helper, the monitor tracks time, well the time updates like every 20 seconds on the monitor, even if the user hasn't switched pages it changes the time spend on site. so there has to be more then unload update time. Is it possible to run an update to a mysql database every 60 seconds without refreshing the page??
