    what is yii?

    I was developing an app with another developer, all the code was on the index.

    today i went on my cpanel and downloaded the latest code but i dont understand a thing!!!
    The other developer says he uploaded the code and it went like this?!
    all i can see on the index now is this:

    <?php

    // change the following paths if necessary
    $yii=dirname(__FILE__).'/YII/framework/yii.php';
    $config=dirname(__FILE__).'/protected/config/main.php';

    // remove the following lines when in production mode
    defined('YII_DEBUG') or define('YII_DEBUG',true);
    // specify how many levels of call stack should be shown in each log message
    defined('YII_TRACE_LEVEL') or define('YII_TRACE_LEVEL',3);

    require_once($yii);
    Yii::createWebApplication($config)->run();

    I really don't think that he just uploaded the code and this happened.
    can someone explain please?

    Thank you all very much.

    Yii is a free open source PHP framework. It's a library of functions, which helps you to get your website up and running faster.
