    Directory problem

    So I moved a page on my website called settings.php to folder in a directory called edit so the directory would look like this main/edit/settings.php, so on that page I have a includes like overall header which includes the main CSS files and the menu which has button that links to the index page, when I click it it dosent take me to a main/index.php it takes me to main/edit/index.php. I dont know why. Also the CSS dosent work. The css files are link like css/login.css. Any help Is appreciated

    I may have this slightly wrong as it catches me out occasionally:

    Paths quoted in an included file need to be relative to the file that includes this file;
    CSS files that include paths specify these paths relative to where the the CSS file itself is stored.

    Personally, I just try

    ../somefolder/somefile.php

    to go up a level; and, if this doesn't work,

    ../../somefolder/somefile.php
