    Beginner with a question.

    Hi,
I have never used PHP before but i'm interested in learning. I was just wondering if you need to have a database? I don't plan on using PHP for guestbooks, etc. Just the basic coding.
    Thanks in advance.

If you're not planning on doing stuff like guestbooks, site news, blogs, entering content dynamically, you most likely don't need a database.

    Hope this helps...

    Thanks alot.
I'm really only planning on using it so that i don't have to keep changing all the header coding each time a layout changes.
