Content Management System - How flexible?

Thats cos I have looked into CMS script programs such as PHP-Nuke and others, but I'm not sure they are what I was looking for.

They seems to work a bit too much like a forum where older comments/photos pushing down by newer comments/news. I wanted to know if a page such as a Dinner & Dance page can be staying visible on homepage for a month or two up to its event.

Also my site has drop down menu which has many links but not sure how I can convert them to CMS where there's no drop down menu? Anyone has experience with any CMS software?

Maybe by visiting http://www.nidya.org.uk and you will see what I mean.

    Thanks!

Well.. I am using and developing a CMS called Mambo

    http://www.mamboserver.com

you can see my test site @

Its awsome, VERY powerful and flexible. Read on it to find all the goodies it does. They are fixing to release 4.5 SOON! so I would recommend waiting till its out. 30 days maybe?
