Using PHP to check the browser and possibly redirect?

I am learning to use PHP and HTML but at the moment my website displays properly only on Firefox so I wanted to make an index.php that lets the user know the page might not display properly and to let them know they might need Firefox so how would I go about this?

Code your website properly? Creating a badly coded website and making people download a whole new browser just to see your website is a bad idea and you won't keep your visitors.

As I said in the first post I am learning, the website functions properly on Chrome and Firefox but other browsers not so well, whilst I learn I would prefer to put a placeholder to let people know that they might not see the site as expected. I would prefer help with achieving this more than advice no offense.
