    Post Admin Panel

Hi, I am new to this site.

I want to make an Admin Panel with a login panel and which can edit text from a website I have done.

Can anyone give me any tips or codes to use?

    Thanks,

    J

This is such a vague question.

You need a page with a form that accepts a username and password. Then you need to select that username from the database and check it's password matches.

IF it does, log them in! EG set a variable somewhere either in the DB or the session so that other scripts know that the user is valid and may continue.

Then you need another page with your text editor. If you want html text then I suggest you look at ckeditor (google).

Finally you need a link to click for a logout - which will clear that variable you set earlier.
My helpful sig is on vacation trying to loose some weight. It got a bit fat and caused a few problems but it will be back at some point!

Admin panels are easy to make. Have you started on it at all?

No, I haven't started at all.

I would like to login for example www.nameofsite/Admin and a form appears (asking for email address and password) and button (login).

Once you're logged in Click on a link ex. Edit 'Home Page' which appears with a text area with the current text, so if I want to changed I would change the text and click on a button save.

Know any tutorials or php codes?

First you will need to build a login form, a check login file, and a redirect to an admin.php file.

This is a great one for beginners and it's what I started on. It's not very secure, it's quite simple, but it works and you can understand the basics of it.
