    Question Ajax Script to load links

    Hi,

    1) I want to display several links on a several websites, the websites will just include a script (script file probably) that would contact to another websites database to get list of links to display.

    so can i get this as pre-written script or have to write from scratch ? and if i have to write it from new, then what is the guideline for doing this.

    ====

    2) 2nd, is this possible to include that script file on remote website with a link click.

    It would probably be safer to have a 'host' website that compiles the links into an XML file, like an RSS feed. Then, simply parse the file using your AJAX method and display the content you would like. This way, you're not directly talking to the database.

    Or, have a script on the host server that accepts a token, and returns a response in a similar format. Either way, running MySQL remotely isn't the best :P

    you are right, i also didnt meant that database would be connected from remote websites,

    parsing xml is also ok... (but i'm not yet able to work on that)

    the other option to make a php file at host website, that would receive a token and display the output. in this case the db connection will be of host website php file.. ajax would just pass token and request data.. is this ?

    and i think such script would be available to download and use... do u have any source for that ?
