Storing info in MySQL, with PHP

    Well.

I am not saying I couldn't learn this elsewhere, but what I want to know is very simple.

What would I have to do to simply, store a sentence into MySQL, using PHP, then have a button that would simply tell you what the stored sentence is, when clicked?

I read the PHP manual, and all it did was confuse me... I also skimmed through the MySQL manual, but that thing is so huge, I couldn't find anything.

Why store a sentence, then have a button tell you what it is?

Well, I just want to get a feel for how it works, and then fill in the blanks with testing and such.
