anyone familiar with the old diff.php

is there anyone here that might be familiar with the old diff.php files that were release many moons ago thru a calaboration of many people. It had a file with it called native.php that kept getting assertion errors and i did some googling last night and actually found some old notes on it but never really found the def cure for the assertion errors.

i think i have it fixed but i pretty much guessed at it, and so i was wondering if anyone here is familiar with that old script.. what it does is it compares two dif strings or files and tells you the dif between them...

im thinking that the assertion is not even really necesary due to the booleen values that are passed but as i said im just guessing, if anyone would like to take a look at the file, ill post it and then explain what i found and did..

    thanks

well since im back on this project i thought i would bump this. What im looking for now is to totally replace my difference engine in my software. I am to the point that i just dont trust this engine anymore, if its not one thing its another.

I know there has to be a good difference engine out there.

here is the only link i could find to native.php which is what i have now and i want to replace it with something better.

i am not using the Yii project but i am using the native php portion, it and the assoc files were written by someone else a long time ago way before Yii. So i did a search for native php to see if it was out there and all i found was this being used for this other project software.

any suggestions would be cool thanks.
