    Document creation/upload format

Not a direct PHP related question as such, (couldn't decide which would be the most suitable section to ask), but a question regarding document creation and upload. If, for example, one had an articles section where users can submit/create articles, but wanted to allow them to create the articles in their own text/document editor and then upload them to the server where they would be parsed and stored, rather than them having to do the creation/submission via a textarea input, what's the best format to use that is easily parseable for text/image content etc whilst being a fairly common format which most modern editors will support?

In the hope I understand I would be thinking along the lines of them storing their work as .pdf files, which, once created, can be uploaded with the html (and server-side scripts), file upload feature.

I'll stop there in case I picked you up wrongly. (6.08am here and I am tired).

Half and half. (Working too many hours ain't fun, is it)? Adding the PDF variant is something I'd not considered. That's definitely one option I'll be adding. The base question is very similar to what Phil asked roughly around the same time, (he worded it far more understandably than I though, which is why I'm going to go and stick my two penneth in on his thread).

I have been working constantly but for sleep time (and it takes second place), for about three years now. dunno whether I should sleep at night or during the day now but productivity has slowed due to fog.

Still, it should come to an end soon and I can relax a bit.

As soon as you have any free time to relax, you'll hate it. You'll probably end up being like a rabid badger after five minutes when the boredom starts setting in. (If not, it must just be I who's a naturally grumpy bugger ).

lol. It's the withdrawal symptoms that keep bringing me back to it. My other half says she has so much to put up with, yet I think not. After all; I am not around her much for her to have a complaint
