Help on learning to read information from another site

    Hey all!

I'm trying to learn to read another sites content and place it on my site. (Like using file_get_contents or another function)

The site I'm trying to take information from s http://www.moviezine.se/
and http://www.moviezine.se/film/alice-in-wonderland is an example of the page there I want to take information from, like the release date of the movie or the image cover or so.

Somebody who can get me in right direction, my head is standing still right now

    /Thanks Tkaeer

I am concerned that what you're really trying to do is violate the copyright of those other websites. Do you have their permission to put their content on your site? You're unlikely to get any help from us unless you can explain a little more what you're trying to accomplish.

Yeah I know I'm violate the copyrigth if I publish it. EDIT: "or didn't know that I violate the copyrigth, but know I know " I'm just taking an example to learn, nothing I will publish or so, that can't be illegal right?

They also got a open api http://www.moviezine.se/openapi, what does that mean?

The api might be the way to go. The api will allow you to access any of their resources which will allow you easily to pull their content in at which point you wouldn't be violating any copyrights because they give you the api. Basically they just give you an xml file that contains all of the information in their database. You will then need to parse the xml file with php and then print the contents to your page. There are tons of xml reader php scripts premade already. You just need to search for them. The only thing I didn't see was the url to their photos so scraping their photos might be against their TOS.
