    Thumbs up PHP Desktop Application

I have developed a PHP-Apache-MySQL web application and it runs like a dream. I now wish to share this application with others but the issue is in installing WAMP or LAMP in every machine where I wish to deploy my application.

I installed the Google Desktop application, and was amazed how it ran like a standalone application. I know that Google Desktop is a web-application, yet, there are no signs of a web-server or a database server installed. I know that an embedded server is doing all the trick.

Now, I request you all to suggest how I could used an embedded server for my application and how. I have heard about webapp, and others but is webapp my solution? Please guide!!

I guess they use a file based DB like SQLite … but I could find no evidence, that GDA actually processes PHP files.

Read through this. I've never tried it, but it may work out OK.
