    Digital Goods Download Link

Hey, ok I need to find a way to give someone a download link through email when they pay me through paypal.

I have about two dozen or so digital products that can be bought from my site.

At the moment all you can do is select the subscription duration - then make the paypal transaction.

What I need to do is make it so that when they complete their transaction they can download the product they selected and only that one. But the button I used for paypal is copy&paste to each product. Do I need to create a specific button for each digital product? or is there a way that it can just send a download link corrosponding to their chosen download?

Find a free PHP/MySQL script that does it for you automatically.
    Look in www.hotscripts.com

Or possibly use something like CubeCart

See the issue is - I have already have my products page with catagories and then the "Buy Now" buttons etc.

It would be a lot of work to switch it all around and I need to start making money asap. Once this is finished I can launch my business.

I don't really have the time to redo everything again. All i need is a system that will let them pay through paypal - and the payment success page lets them download their corrosponding item. At the moment - I have about 100 different products...They all finish on the same success page. I need a way to get that page to allow a download based on the product chosen. I have looked in to Paypal IPN - I can't understand how to implement it properly - I tried Zencart -but that meant I had to input my entire inventory into that and go from there - which takes far too long and to learn how to configure Zencart to match my sites layout ...just I don't have that amount of time..

I figured if I could send a variable from the "Buy Now" button to the success page? Through a cookie or something? That would take note of which product was selected?

It is very important to get this done and I would appreciate some help.

It would be through the use of the IPN ...

See this PayPal explanation and script examples:
    https://www.paypal.com/ipn

But it will take a fair amount of additional PHP programming to make it work.

An IPN sends back a "confirmation code" that let's you know the transaction
was successful, and information about the buyer/transaction. You can then
work with the IPN to determine what course of action to take.

It's sort of like a "super cookie" that gets returned from PayPal (if that explains it better).

Ok I have an IPN script all set up...But I have no idea how it works. It was from the guy who did this before - but it didn't work before - it would just send you to the error page after you pay..instead of the success page?

You might want to hire a freelancer to help you over the hump with the IPN.
Very hard to figure it out using this forum, as so much needs to be tested and
experimented with in real-time. You're running a business, so it's no big deal to
hire someone to help program ... consider a business expense (for tax write-off).

I don't know if anyone will do it for free ... or a promise of pay.
Unless there is some sort of written contract. I certainly wouldn't unless
I had a complete copy of your Business Plan.

That's what small business loans are for.
You are starting a business and need to get some "start-up" financing, so you apply for it.
If you have a Business Plan, and have done your homework, any type
of loan agency would be willing to work with you. If they turn you down, you had
better think about what you're doing.

Running a business online is no different than a business in a "building". And selling
non-tangible goods is the same as tangible goods.

See I am only part of this business. I am the SEO of ICT. My partner who also started this venture - is incharge of the business side of things. I don't need any loans. Can't afford them anyway. The way the banks are in Ireland at the moment - your safer puttin your money under your matress.

    Thanks anyways

    Hello,

Why don't you save yourself the hassle of setting up PayPal IPN and use a third party provider like dboxapp.net? (http://www.dboxapp.net)

They provide exactly what you want. Digital download delivery after a successful payment through one and the same thank you page.

They also have a free plan, but I think you might have to many products for that.
