    Fatal Error doesn't make sense

I've been getting this error on my wordpress blog when trying to upload images

Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 111411200) (tried to allocate 24956 bytes)

it doesn't make sense that when the script tries to allocate less memory than what is available I've tried changing the php.ini file to allocate more memory but it doesn't change anything. This functionality work not to long ago, but doesn't work now and nothing has changed.

Do a phpinfo(); and see how much you have.. does it match the one you set in php.ini, if not you are modifying the wrong php.ini(some computer have more than 1 php.ini).

Secondly, the setting in the php.ini might be overwritten by wordpress, open up the wordpress folder, open wp-settings.php... On the top(around line 12), you can see that wordpress limit it to 32M, change it here.
