Losing Session data in IE7 only

I'm trying to figure out if this is a browser bug, or a code bug, but I can't replicate, so I have 2 questions / favors to ask...

First, if you're running IE7 on WinXP, can you do the following and post results for me...

    1) Go to: http://patfurg.securesites.net/account/register
    2) Clicke on the "3 easy steps" button
    3) Select "3 column" layout
    4) Select header and footer
    5) Select custom for colors
    6) Select 3 colors
    7) Select an image to upload
    8) Click "Save Draft"
    9) Click "Preview Draft"
    10) Close draft preview
    11) Click "Content"

    Do you get:

    a) A screen allowing you to drag / drop modules around?
    b) A login screen
    c) An error saying you must "first select a layout".

I always get a) (and i've tested on 3 different computers in IE7 WinXP, IE7 Win Vista, IE6 WinXP, and FF2 / 3 on WinXP, Vista and linux.

However, some people are getting b) and some are getting c)

The only way b) and c) can happen is if the session data is getting lost. I've done some research on why session data is lost, and I found an IE7 bug that says to close the <script> tags with a </script> as opposed to a self-closed tag. I've also read something about closing a pop-up will clear the sessions, but I haven't seen that happen at all, so I'm really at a loss.

If you would be so kind as to go through the first 11 steps and post your results (IE7 WinXP seems to be the only combo that has a problem), I would REALLY appreciate it.

    Thanks
